Cross country running training guide
Cross-country running is a sport in which not individuals but teams of runners compete to complete a course over open or rough terrain faster than other teams. While road running and track running principally involve, well, roads and tracks, the courses for cross-country include grass, sand, mud, woodlands and water. In general, teams are composed between four and twelve runners. Cross-country running is a popular participatory sport, and usually takes place in temperate regions during the autumn and winter when soft conditions underfoot prevail.
