10k training schedule: run a 10k race in 8 weeks from now! Realistic? Yes! If you possess a good level of fitness you are probably able to run 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) using the United Running 10k training schedule.

The 10km is one of the most prestigious events at the Olympic Games. For years Haile Gebrselassie has been the king of the 10k. Improving on his time might be a little ambitious (26:22:75, an average of more than 20km an hour!), but this schedule will prepare the experienced as well as the inexperienced jogger to successfully run 10km with ease.
